After two years of researching, downloading a boatload of $$$ products, attending webinars and using up all of my savings, I came to ONE big conclusion.
I was going to promote other people's products! It is what is called "affiliate marketing" and what I didn't realize (and you may not know either) is that there are thousands of companies who allow you to advertise for them, or share a link to their website and offer you a commission for each sale.
What's the catch?
Many of these companies only offer 1 - 6% of each sale, so if you are promoting something that only costs $20, and you make 5% commission, your take home pay is only
$1 DOLLAR!
What? Hmmmm...there has to be a better way.
You have to KNOW your audience.
You have to KNOW what your audience is looking to solve a problem.
Other successful affiliate marketers added this golden nugget of #truth.
Solve a problem and you'll never go broke.
Solve a problem that is like something a person thinks about at least 6 times a day.
Plus, solve that problem with an instant downloadable product that pays you as the affiliate as least 50% of each sale.
Here's an example:
So, if the course is $47, you would get $23.50. If the printable planner is $27, you would get $13.50 into your paypal account.
Now, let's think BIG! If you got 100 sales at $13.50 in a month that is $1300. And that would pay for all those little "extras." Note: No one can guarantee any sales in any time period. There is no way to know what sales can/will be. I am sharing this for educational purposes only and as a case study. Plus, this was the mindshift that got me from $8.50 to over $100,000 in affiliate sales in one platform over 10 years. You just have to do possibility thinking.
And when I found out that literally MILLIONS of people love printables, that became a no-brainer for me.
Well..I'll just promote "all things printable." And it is working, and I am on track to have a bigger year this next year if I stay focused and work hard.
